“We were looking for someone with a good heart. The first person willing to help us—we were going to bless them with $500.”
Her eyes widened. “Really?” she whispered.
“Yeah. And that person is you.”
she stood there, speechless, shaking his head in disbelief. “I just made more money in this moment than I have in three years,” she finally said, her voice cracking. “I don’t even know what to say… this is crazy.”
Tears welled up in her eyes. “I was out here struggling… I’ve been praying for a blessing.”
I placed a hand on her shoulder. “Can you do me a favor?”
“What is it?” she asked.
“Don’t give up, okay?”
she exhaled deeply, nodding. “I won’t. Lord, God bless you. Thank you.”
