“Instead of going out this February 14, why not make a shelter pet your Valentine?” Best Friends shared in a news release. “Give them a night they’ll never forget—one that could change their life—no expensive prix fixe menu required!

Best Friends is offering dates in the following U.S. cities:

- Los Angeles, California
- New York City, New York
- Bentonville, Arkansas
- Salt Lake City, Utah
- Kanab, Utah, where Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the “largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals in the country,” according to the organization, is located
From Foster to Forever Love
If sparks fly with your Valentine’s date, Best Friends Animal Society is offering the chance to extend the foster stay or make it official through adoption.
To celebrate the holiday, the organization is waiving adoption fees from Feb. 14 to 17—because, as they put it, “the companionship of a pet is priceless.”
Additionally, Best Friends will host adoption events at all their lifesaving centers on Feb. 15, giving even more pets a chance to find their perfect match.
